Born and raised in Columbus, Georgia. Morris graduated from Brookstone High School in Columbus, Georgia in 1985, and obtained an undergraduate degree from Auburn University, with a double major in Economics and Political Science in 1989. In 1992, Morris obtained a law degree from the University of Georgia where he graduated “Cum Laude.” He is licensed to practice law in both Georgia and Alabama.

In more than 25 years of private practice specializing in civil litigation, Morris has represented clients as lead counsel in both state and federal court in Georgia, and in both state and federal court in Alabama. He has argued numerous cases on appeal in the Georgia Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Today, While Morris concentrates on business litigation cases, he continues to focus in a vast array of all types of civil actions, primarily representing the plaintiff. His client base includes many of the largest private companies in Columbus, Georgia who have trusted his advice and representation as part of their business operations. He has testified several times as an expert witness on the issue of the reasonableness of attorney fees in both the state and federal courts in Georgia

Morris is an active member of the Columbus American Inn of Court (2010-present and was recognized as a Master in 2013), He is a member of the Columbus Bar Association (1992-present) and served as President of the Columbus Bar Association (2014-2015), a member of the Columbus Trial Lawyers Association (2006-present) and served as President of the Columbus Trial Lawyers Association (2008-2012) and has served as President of the Chattahoochee Bar Association (1997), He is currently the Past President of the Columbus Bar Association.

Prior to forming Waldrep, Mullin & Callahan, Morris was a partner in Hatcher, Stubbs, Land Hollis & Rothschild (1992-1998), where he specialized in defending medical providers in medical negligence actions as well as defending automobile manufacturers and retail dealers in civil fraud lawsuits.

Morris is a member of the Georgia Bar Association (1992-present), the Alabama Bar Association (1993-present), admitted to practice law in the Georgia Supreme Court (1992-present), the Georgia Court of Appeals (1992-present), the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals (1992-present), the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia (1992-present), the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama (1993-present), the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia (2007-present), the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Georgia (1992-present), and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Alabama (2000-present).

Morris’ wife, Bethany, holds a PHD in Economics and instructs at Chattahoochee Valley Community College. He has three children, the oldest attending the University of Georgia and two younger daughters attending Brookstone school.
